I'm a little surprised we didn't sign him to a 10-day; we could use the height (something something his length and girth something something)
People like to under play it, but it really is a big deal. Jason is the only active American athlete one of the four major sports to ever admit he is gay. I'm sure there have been hundreds of gay baseball/basketball/football/hockey players over the last 100 years, but Jason is the only man to own up to it. Hopefully, this leads to other athletes coming out and then, in the hopefully near future, it won't matter anymore.
The owner Poporpoporov's P.R. guy is separating Properproperoff's image from that of a more proper Russian gent.
Scouting report on Jason Collins: - Great penetrator - Superb ball handler - Takes it to the hole regularly - Thrives in isolated man on man sets - Excellent backdoor defender - Enjoys to dribble before he shoots - Solid stroke from outside - Good awareness when double or triple teamed - Loves to finish with a facial
Robin Lopez @eegabeeva88 Always nice to have another Stanford guy on the Nets @jasoncollins34 welcome back buddy! #GoCard
I completely disagree. I don't think it's a big deal. And that lack of it being a big deal shows how accepted being gay is.
We're getting there. Not there yet. MORE: sports have been in the dark ages on this issue. Can you believe there is only one guy who has done it? Well two now with Michael Sam. The wall is coming down though. More athletes won't feel like being in the closet and more importantly, young gay people have more visible gay people to show that they're not alone. There will be less young gay people committing suicide cuz they'll have role models out there saying they can choose any career they want and they won't have to hide in the closet. That's why it's a big deal, maxiep. I'm glad it's no big deal for you though.
