The Rockets become a much more winnable series if Patrick Beverley misses the playoffs. Still a tough matchup, but definitely more winnable.

Nah, they'll find some mediocre D League point guard who will go off for forty a game on us...

Lillard must have been a little happy hearing this. Still, Hard-On flopping will be a problem.

A flopping Hard-On seems to be a misnomer....except in the case of the Beard. :D

Not having Beverly harass, mug and generally beat the hell out of Dame can only help. Not sure how the refs let him get away with old rules Pistons defense but they do.

Yup. Dame will have an infinitely better series with Jeremy Lin trying to guard him.

How fitting if the Blazers and Houston meet in the first round. At least we won't have McMillian with his, "omg I can't make mid game adjustments"

"Coach, they're triple teaming Brandon. What should we do?"

    "I DON'T KNOW!"

*McMillan has entered the fetal position*

I also think people are overlooking lillard swag. We've never seen him in playoffs. I bet he steps up and has a couple magical performances. He loves playing when it matters.

And people aren't realizing stotts is really good with preparing his team for the next game. I think Stotts will be a great playoff coach.

    Instead it'll be:
"Coach, they're jumping out on all our pick and pops. We can't get the ball within 4' of the 3-point line. What should we do?"
"Run the pick and pop and try again - surely it'll work next time. If it doesn't, shoot the contested 3 as the shot clock winds down. We're a 3-point shooting team, gosh darnit!"

I've already seen Stotts go into Nate McMillan mode with LA.

"Just keep feeding LA in the post. He's only missed six step-back fadeaways in a row. The seventh will surely go down."

Weird, Aldridge was one of the main reasons we had such a successful start and won last night. We won because Aldridge establishes himself in the paint. Getting there, he needs that pick and pop. I would bank on Aldridge more than anyone else on this team

There is no denying that this team without Aldridge is a mediocre team at best. With Aldridge allows Lillard to do his game with more ease. Anyone that disagrees needs to learn the game.

What does that have to do with this thread in any way, shape, or form?

Wait, I can throw out random thoughts as well!

There is no denying that this team with Meyers Leonard on the floor is a mediocre team at best. Anyone that disagrees needs to learn the game.

So why don't you just admit that you didn't understand the point of the comment?

It was to illustrate that Stotts does not recognize when something isn't working, much like McMillan.

When LA is on, he can pretty much shoot from anywhere on the floor, but when he's off he's usually way off and yet for some reason Stotts will just keep feeding him over and over and over.
