Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has flown back to Dallas and will meet Wednesday with team doctor Keith Meister to receive an MRI on his injured left quad, general manager Jon Daniels said. Beltre, who served as the Rangers' designated hitter Tuesday night, was lifted for a pinch hitter in the sixth inning of Texas' 10-7 victory against the Boston Red Sox. After an RBI double in the fourth inning, Beltre was unable to run, struggling to get back to the Rangers' dugout at the end of the frame.
