Hardcore JRPG fans, and fans of turn based will love this game. While the main story can be completed in a reasonable 40-60 hours for those looking for a challenge or a platinum trophy there is a lot more to do here. Between leveling your character and equipment to fighting secret bosses or completing other crazy challenges, you will be occupied for hundreds of hours.

The game's story starts out simple enough you are a demon and your father is the overlord. To become overlord and reach your true demon potential, you must find a way to kill your father and take his place as the ultimate ruler of the underworld. Along the journey you will meet and join up with several crazy characters each with their own reason for wanting to defeat the overlord or to help you.

For those of you familiar with the series you will find a lot of elements that you are familiar with. Prinnies the lovable talking, fighting and exploding penguin characters are back, and they are joined by heroes, princesses, demons, cooks, school teachers, pirates and many more crazy characters along the way.

It might take awhile to get everything you can out of this game but watching your character deal 2 billion damage in a single attack is a mighty rewarding feeling. The game is a slow but beautiful grind. If your a fan then you probably already got the game if your not it is certainly something I would recommend checking out.

Graphics 7/10 The graphics are enjoyable for people who have played Disgaea 1 and 2, but for new comers they are not anywhere close to the best Vita has to offer.
Gameplay 10/10 So many different ways to play and a punishing difficulty level for people who get a little careless.
Replay-ability 10/10 1000+ hours of content enough said.
Story 6/10 the game is funny in parts and the story is passable but the grind and the crazy challenges the game provides is why most people will continue to play.
Overall 8.7 This game is best for hardcore fans but the game does such a good job explaining things that newcomers will be able to pick up the controller and play. Worth the buy for fans and worth a rent for those interested in finding something new and exciting.
