I've never enjoyed the death of a villain more than I did Joffrey's. Seeing Cersei's smug face shattered by his death was almost even better.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought he choked to death on some food in the book. I thought they just assumed that it was poison to pin it on Sansa.

That's pretty impressive, if a little elaborate. Why store poison on a necklace on Sansa? Couldn't Lady Olanna have just brought the poison in under one of her cuffs? Why this elaborate palming of the jewel right off Sansa's neck? Seems like a pretty impressive piece of burglary for a lady.

Anyway, it was nice seeing Joffrey die. The way the camera froze on his dead, contorted, cross-eyed, gray face was almost pornographic in its catharsis. It's like the director was saying, "HERE! You've wanted to see this fucker die for 3 years now. Well, there he is. He died, he died stupidly, he died being the asshole he always was, and he died in pain. ENJOY!" And frankly, I did.

You really have to commend the actor who played Joffrey because he completely captured the pure evil and douchebaggery of that character.

You assumed wrong, mofo! The only difference from what Sly posted above in the show, and in the books was hairnet>necklace.

You could read the books, which I have as well, but then you would make a post like yours if you didn't watch the TV version, which illustrates what the book actually said. I do agree that the books are tedious and cumbersome at times, though, especially when you've only read them one time, like I did.

I want more of Reek sleeping with dogs, and less of him being human. Ramsey is such a demented character, but even Roose at the end saw that Theon still had value, even as a pet-slave.
