They looked like such a feel good story at the beginning of the season. Even though they've had on-court success, things seem to be a mess behind the scenes. When that team gets their shit together, watch out.

Agreed, in fact if people think the West was good this year, next could be even better

The Pelicans, Suns and Warriors will all be better next year. We could win 50 and not make the playoffs.

Can we petition to be in the Eastern Conference? As far as we travel, it might not be much worse.

Don't forget the Lakers. Kobe back, a top ten pick in a good draft and money for a big ticket FA signing. I'd like to see them rot in lotto-hell forever, but I think the reality will be otherwise.

Sad part is even the worst will be better...I don't see Denver staying down like a whipped dog....Utah....well Damien's new commercial featuring Karl Malone is the best thing that has happened to Utah all year.

Crap, I forgot about the Thuggets. They will be MUCH better next year with all their guys returning from injury.

The West is going to be ridiculous.

The West is gonna be hell next season... I could see every team but the Jazz, Kings, and maybe the Lakers depending on what they do this summer over .500.

We better have a good offseason.

I thought you had a new kinder gentler mocking moniker for the Nugs? What was it again?

Chicken Nuggets. I'm might change it to McNuggets in honor of the old McNichols Arena.

dude, the Lakers are still gonna suck next year. Kobe will be going into his 19th season (and he has a TON of mileage). There's a reason he wasn't able to play this year, and it's because his body is breaking down. And the rest of their team is absolute shit. And they won't be attracting anyone this summer.

Lakers will trade their pick and Steve Nash contract for Kevin Love. Then sign Lowry as a free agent. I'm not worried though, they won't be good enough to contend.

Yes the west will be far better again next season. Plus Phoenix gets a lottery pick for missing the playoffs.

I think the league will have some big changes with the playoffs for next season. Its crazy if we win tonight while HOU and MIA lose we will be tied for the 5th best record in the league. That should get you home court for a round.

You must forget who's running the team. A fuckin' IDIOT. Hired D'antoni over Phil because Jackson is Porkin' his sissy? Dumbest decision of the year.

    Hehe, thanks.

Seriously though depending on the pick I might like that trade more for Minny than LAL. With the salary cap first round picks are gold, especially in a talented draft. If the Lakers make those moves then they won't have flexibility for future moves beyond the big 3 of Love/Kobe/Lowry. Are those three good enough to contend? I don't believe so. If the Lakers are able to keep a stud rookie on a tiny rookie contract and have the patience to try and sign Love for free the following summer they have a better chance of building a scary roster.

Yeah the kid Buss is not very impressive. His moves seem more like an emotional impatient James Dolan than what his father would do.
