That's somewhat encouraging but I guess it also means that we lost to a lot of teams that we shouldn't have. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Regular season games don't mean squat in the playoffs. The Playoffs is another game. The regular season is to long.
Are Miami playing possum? Because if so, they're really putting their hearts into it. [Edit: I was looking at the first "ranking" which is actually their ranking according to pace. Jesus, Indy really killed their team trading for Evan Turner, didn't they?] I like the "Net rating rank" but what the fuck does it mean?
Nice stats, HCP! I kept reading here about how bad Portland was playing, but the truth is they have won 8 out of the last 9 games when the starters played. Tomorrow night won't count, because LMA isn't playing, and the rest of the starters will make a token appearance to play in all 82 games.
You obviously have never played competitive sports (And no rec league dodgeball doesn't count). Of course it means something!
In the regular season you don't play your opponent up to 7 times in a row. The Playoffs are a different animal. Sorry to bring this up but Portland always use to beat up on the Lakers in the regular season. When it came to the playoffs though it was the other way around.
Just don't throw out lame ass comments like the reg season doesn't mean anything and you might keep what scrap of credibility you still hold on to.
We've quietly become a not-horrible defensive team; our total DRtg for the season is now up to 17th place from an earlier 21st, and is actually less than a point off of league average. I don't know the advanced stats for the last 9 games but we've held some teams to some genuinely low scores. I'm hoping that our late blooming defense and our late blooming pick and Rolo offense pays dividends.
Holy moly! I knew the Pacers had slid but that is ridiculous, I mean, you'd think a decent college team would do better. Lower Eastern seeds no surprise, they are all pretty bad. I know "momentum" is often illusory but Houston has hardly gone into postseason smokin' hot. How confident can they be feeling?
