A pod cast about 22 minutes long. A frank discussion. He also talks about the Bulls-Nets series and says neither Indy or Miami wants to play Brooklyn or Chicago in the second round. Both teams have better records since the first of the year than the top two seeds. Also said no player has come here and played for Thibs and has gotten worse! Also said Lakers are not in the disussion due to Kobe's situation. Discusses possible senerios that would keep Melo in NY, but also mentioned it may take a year or two to get those things done. (Rondo, Love) Melo wants to win now. http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2014/0...of-carmelo-anthony-joining-the-chicago-bulls/
Don't have time to listen but from the preview I remain the same. Melo is a stud snd if the benefits of getting him outweigh the talent dump to get him I love it. I am not optimistic it will happen. A healthy Rose makes us contenders with or without Anthony but Melo definitely improves chanced if the squad as a whole is intact.
They brought up that with the way that Noah is playing, if Melo was on this team right now, even without Rose, we would be contenders. They also said that Melo wants to be in NY, but the question is will he wait another year or two without the playoffs to stay there? He also wants to win.
Every way I look at it, the Anthony thing is a real long shot. This doesn't seem to dissuade the media from setting it up as something approaching a 50-50 proposition.
