I'm not sure if I like that but it is what it is. With home ice and Lundy in net it's not a surprise to see people picking the Rangers I guess.

Losing this series would be hugely disappointing. Hugely.

I would agree. With home ice and a big edge in goal you really should win a first round playoff series. This is the time where you really need the guys like Nash, Richards and St. Louis to come through.

Yeah, I thought for sure most people would pick the Flyers because of their O and forward depth, it has been the other way.

I kind of agree with 31 on this. We have home ice. Their # 1 goalie is out. We have Hank. The Flyers only had a + 1 goal differential. There really aren't many excuses at this point.

With that said, I still see this is a coin flip series due to the rivalry, the Flyers forward depth, and their size/strength.

    We'll see...

I'm a little surprised they'll be using Fast over Miller, he provides a little more size/strength with about the same offensive capability.

I like Fast and i think his he has progressed into a more complete player then miller at this point(better two-way player). That being said in a year or two i can see Miller being a better rod brind'amour type of player. Miller does give us more strength and size but he seems to have bad defensive lapses and thats where i think Fast is better and more suitable to play on a line with hags and Richards.

wait, what? Brind'Amour was a top 2-way player in the league who put up 30+ gls a few times, and 1,000+pts over his career.

If Miller becomes a poor-man's Brind'Amour we should all be excited. To expect him to become BETTER than that is flat out silly.

Strange for media to pick the Rangers. If this
team gets suckered by Philly pranks, positive
outcome will be tough to accomplish......and
don't kid yourself, Philly still thinks
they are in the 1980s. Let's take this. GO Rangers.

They played the whole 86' series today on MSG..that was a great run until they ran into Roy in the ECF.

LOL - Couldnt agree more. Brind'Amour was an exceptional overall player. Played with an edge....Scored 25+ goals 10 x.....Big time leader.....Captained a stanley cup in Carolina

Let's keep things in perspective. We would be VERY lucky if Miller is even CLOSE to Rod Brind'Amour

Bad sign when all the experts pick the Rangers. I would like to see them being underdogs.

They have to keep people from camping out like they're in Yosemite around HL.

Get under the Flyers skin and let them take penalties.

Only thing I'm worried about with the flyers is some of their cheap shot artists taking their inevitable shots against mcd, staal, nash and msl with no one on the rangers that can deter them. Very important we score on almost every pp we get

You know where Simmonds and Hartnell will be sc...especially Simmonds. I really like him as a player. Hate his BS, but as a player he is really good and the kind of guy you want in the playoffs.

That will be a key mel. We cannot take stupid penalties trying to prove a point. If we play this series 5 on 5, no doubt we win IMO.

Just a hunch but I would stick with Diaz even though Moore has been good since his return. Diaz is a little more nimble with the puck.

Improbable run that year until they drew the eventual Champs.

Yeah a relatively obscure group with a few key youngsters like JVB Ridley and Miller and the old guys in Gresch and Donnie M. The Caps series was wild.

what do you guys expect, we have got out of the first round like 5 years in a row or something like that, with hank in net, its certain the rangers are the favorites.... philly is philly, they will have goalie controversy probably and there goalies will let in soft goals, they won't be able to stay out of the box, and the rangers are going to win this in 6 games. you heard it here first guys !!
