You tired after that OT game on Sunday? I was--both teams grinded. 2 days to rest, so I'm good now. Ever been too tired from shooting? had a couple games shooting 30+, been tired there. But if you make most of your shots, you don't feel it. Is Dwight the Dwight of old? To me--yeah. He just plays a different role in houston than before, since he has more help. But he still does all the same stuff he did before. OK--46 points is good, but Houston doesn't play any D, right? Sure they do. They blocked two of my shots, Dwight clogged the lane. In the playoffs, everyone plays D--or they at least try. I wouldn't say my 46 was easy--they made my looks tough. Just trying to get you pumped up--46 points was great, but I expect more in game 2. That's great, I appreciate it. My question for you--when you coming to Portland? I'm coming out in July--I figured I could stay at your crib. Sounds good. I got a guest room all ready for you. How many TV's do you have? Tough question; I'm a TV guy, so... OK--over/under 12 TV's in the Aldridge mansion? Hmm...3, 4, 5, 6...maybe just under. Gotta know, 'cause I like to watch myself. Yeah, I've heard that about you. Have you ever come home after a game and just watched yourself? Like after the Houston game, just go back and watch it and say, "Damn I'm good!" No, no--after that game, I just thought, "I am truly blessed" because without God, that would not have been possible. Well, sure, but after that, I would have also said to myself, "Man I'm so good!" No, I don't think it's even really hit me yet, I haven't really even thought about it yet. Lamarcus Aldridge, the humble Blazers forward. Did you help recruit Durant to Texas? Did you host him on his visit? I did--I was his host when he came down. We played at the open gym. Barnes was ecstatic to have him there. said he was one of those rare players How skinny was he? 6'9" and 1__? I don't know--I was skinny then too, and he was definitely skinnier than me Did you know then how good he could be? Naw--I knew he was good, but I didn't know he was going to be THIS good. I saw how skilled he was, how he could make plays with his height and how he could shoot, but I didn't know he would be this good. If you could start your team with Durant or Lebron? Come on man--why you gotta do me like this? I don't know--I need more time. A GM doesn't have to make a decision like this. That's too tough--they're both great players. What is the one restaurant I want to go when I go to Portland? Oh, there's so many. Whatever I say, half of Portland will kill me. After you beat the Rockets, who will you face in the next round? I can't do that. We've only won one game. Every game's going to be a fight, so we're going to just keep doing what we're doing.
wow, Dan Patrick likes bait him a lot. Try to make him look cocky or talk about other players and trash Houston.
That was awesome... and slightly awkward. lol. It seemed Dan was genuinely interested in LMA and just ribbing him... but damn, he baits. lol.
I was laughing my ass off while driving to work this morning. And if you've seen me, that's a lot of ass to laugh off...
I love LA, and I am a big fan of DP (he tries to goad people with tough questions about choosing between two things all the time, where people can later come back and ask the player about it - DP works to see if he can create a mini, but fun, controversy)..... but come on, LA. He asked you about restaurants. Throw a couple of names out there. It ain't that tough. But it is good to see/hear LA having some fun and throwing out some playful banter.
I've very rarely seen or listened to Dan Patrick, but it seems like he does that a lot. I really don't like his interviews.
I posted about our team's good health 3 months ago and everybody bitched about me jinxing it. And we went on to have pretty much the healthiest Blazer team ever. What would have happened had I not posted that thread? Torn miniscuses everywhere, that's what. You should all be thanking me. So today it occurred to me, "What would happen if I start projecting the Spurs series, thereby jinxing the Rockets series?" It became clear to me that as soon as I had that thought, failing to attempt to jinx the team would have certainly jinxed the team. We'd lose 4 straight to Houston. My hands were tied at that point. So, fuck the Spurs!
Unless of course, by speaking your rationale you have re-jinxed the team. But by me pointing that out, perhaps I have un-re-jinxed the team!
You're absolutely right! Unless saying so de-unjinxes the re-jinxing. In which case you are completely wrong.
