I know it's a little presumptuous, seeing as how the Spurs have only won one game, but I think it's pretty likely they'll be our matchup in the second round. I'll be curious to see how we adjust to containing Tony Parker after completely locking down Harden.
Uhhh.... we're in game 2 with only a 1-0 lead. This has to be a joke. Let's win game 2, that's the only game that matters.
How hard is it to really do that? LeBron is such a media creation. If Lillard decides he wants to win, there's not a thing "King" James can do.
BTW, doesn't it suck that the NBA Finals MVP trophy is named after Bill Russel? Since it's going to be won by either Lillard or LMA, it'd be nice if it were named after a PF or PG.
I'd much rather be playing the Spurs then OKC or the Clippers. Memphis might be harder as well. When the playoffs started I thought we had a great side of the bracket, the 3 best teams are on the other side. Yes the Spurs are exceptional fundamentally but they don't have another gear to go to. They will always play a B game but they don't have the talent to play at an A level. Three years ago Memphis beat them in the first round as an 8th seed, the next year OKC beat them easily with their athleticism. Last year they benefited from injuries and teams just happy to make the second round (GS) or happy to make the WCF (Grizz). As long as we don't lose two games for every one we win here on out this series with Houston is over. Could those losses happen? Sure. But I really like our chances. I like our chances just as well against the Spurs. Then we will be happy to have made the WCF just as the Grizz were last year. I don't think we can beat the better team of OKC or Clipps though.
