A Dream Team: Keep in mind, a lot of these players could probably be had for the right trades, and cash considerations, perhaps a few prospects and active players, could all be moved in the Winter Meetings, despite each players current status.

Tho' the Yanks would once again have to loot their Farm Club System. The Question is: does the Farm System have enough talent to NOT loot it in trades, 2 for 1, 3 for 1, whatever it takes, to get these kids aboard.

I would love nothing more than to see the Yankee Farm Club bring up this kind of talent, BUT, I don’t see the calvary coming!

If I were Cashman and the Boys, with their Family Money, much of it spent, I would reknew this team, with these fresh young talented players, perhaps a Free Agent on top of it? No, no more FA’s unless they are 30 or under.

    RF-Giancarlo Stanton

CF-Ellsbury-Keep Him, a star in our midst.

    LF-Mike Trout, or-
    LF-Billy Hamilton

    1st-Paul Goldschmidt

    2nd- Jedd Gyorko-or-
take the Braves SS, Andrelton Simmons, and move him to 2nd. Or-
Brandon Phillips- if the Yanks want a perennial gold glover highlight film, who can hit, pony up and pay the man his 15 million.

    SS-Tulowitzski-or-
    SS-Andrelton Simmons,

    3rd-Manny Machado

    C-McCann

    SP’s-
    Gio Gonzalez
    Jose Fernandez
    King Felix
    Chris Sale

If the Yanks are paying Tanaka 25 million, and CC another 20, they should waive CC, and pursue those noted, who are still young and capable of bringing the 28th World Series Pennant Home.

    NOTES:

RF-Giancarlo Stanton-The 20 year old is Arbitration Eligible next yr-2015 (already making 6.5 Million), I doubt the Marlins will ante up more money. We all know what happened to Miggy and Dontrelle Willis after arbitration awarded in their favor, in Miami.

    LF-Mike Trout-
the 22 year kid, could easily be a Yankee by 29 yrs of age. Provided the Angels can’t see post season play in the next 7 years. A Jersey native he’d love nothing more to be a Yankee. Gardner (over paid) lets get-
    Matt Kemp-
Free Agent in 2015 (he will be asking a ton of money tho’, until Trout is in NY sooner.

    1B-Paul Goldschmidt-

the 26 year old is the perfect fit of a power Yankee First baseman. Goldy will be making 14.5 Million in 2018. 1 million in 2014, 3 million in 015, 5.8 mil in 016, and 8 mil in 016.

    2B-Jedd Gyorko-
24 yrs old, Hard to find a heavy hitting 2nd baseman these days, Gyorko hit .249 in 125 games in 013. If the Yanks want a hitter at 2nd, they will have to pony up 14 mil for Brandon Phillips, who could give them 5 yrs.

SS-Andrelton Simmnons- the 22 yr. old Gold Glover is finding his batting stroke to compliment his gold-platinum glover. Makes 1 mil in 014, 3 mil in 015, progressing to 15 mil in 2020. Could easily be worth the price, especially when one compares Gardner’s pocket book to Simmons. Simmons would give the Yanks more value for that 15 mil.. He too can steal a base. A true 4 tool kid.. He can field or defend, throw, run, hit, and hit with power!

    Troy Tulowitzski-
29 years old, a 8 year vet, who has established himself as the best defensive SS, with a fielding pctg. Better than anyone who has ever played the game. (Look it up on baseball reference.com). Troy is a magician who can also hit, and is amongst the top 5 in most offensive categories as well as his defense. A .296 B’avg over 8 years,

    Hanley Ramirez,
to high priced a SS, and I doubt the Bums will let him get to Free Agency. Guggenheim has to much money, and should be shot if he ever appears in public. Lynch Magic too, for selling out MLB Fans, go back to fking the NBA you as swipe!!!!
MJ doesn’t belong in MLB and is a lost soul ambassador for MLB, a freaking puppet if there was one. A great NBA player and personality, get him the fk out of Chavez Ravine. Let Donnie Baseball run the whole show, and lets dump Lasorda in the Ocean while were at it. Feed him a Super Hoagie and watch him sink,j off the shore of Catalina…!!!
Oooppss, I am late for my Anger Management meeting...I keep seeing Blue not Red. Still pissed off at TWB-Cable, still not one freaking Bums game, oh well, I didn't want to watch them anyway. NOT!!!

LF-Billy Hamilton-OF Reds, the 22 yr old CF’er can be sent to LF. Billy had 13 steals in 13 games in 013. Still an anemic bat, the kid is perhaps the fastest base stealer, Outfielder in both leagues. Making a paltry .500K in 014, send him to Rod Carew’s school of hitting, and watch him bud and flower. Use him as a bench player, pinch hit, or runner for now, and he will win some games. Anyone see him take 3rd from 1st, on a bunt yesterday, wound up coming home on a passed ball.

    3rd- Manny Machado-

the 22 year old Gold Glover, is making but $519K in 014, and 1 mil in 015. A sure handed defender, can hit, and hit with power, and may be the premium hot corner specialist in years to come.

    C-McAnn-
is as good as it can get, IMO.

Just my unworthy 2 cents for what its worth. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Pretty damn good wish list. I'd take Stanton & Hamilton in the outfield. Infield of Machado at 3rd, Simmons at short, Gyorko, at 2d base, Goldschmidt at 1st all in sync would be cool. Trout is one hell of a ball player, never hear him crow, he doesn't have too, just that good, and get that Fernandez kid for the staff. Old 40's tune "I Can Dream Can't I.

I'd put Posey as catcher. Now how about 5 solid starters?

And BTW: Rob, have you received any of my recent PMs?

Damnit... got to retype it thanks to my hypersensitve mouse pad on my laptop

Well, if money were no object and they were all available... I want Stanton, Ellsbury, & Trout in the OF, Machado at 3B, McCann, and pitching I'd want King Felix, Kershaw, Tanaka, Anibal Sanchez, Strasburg, & Sale... for 1B, 2B, and SS, I'm not quite as sure... don't want tulo as he's already been in the league for a while and will likely be on his way down when the others would be available... Goldy sounds good for 1B although I'd love Cabrera... I guess Gyorko or Kipnis for 2B... Segura or Tulo or Simmons for SS...

I think collectively as a group, we should overthrow Cashman, and put together the next World Serious (yes, Serious) Pennant Team....do I have any takers? There will be a Revolution in the Bronx effective this Saturday at midnight.....charge of the light brigade, bring your horns.

My bad, thank you for the correction mrmel....

Stanton a Tujunga High School alumn, transferred to Notre Dame, in Sherman Oaks,a private Catholic High School, which dominates in both Football and Baseball; due to not having the restrictions of public schools, who attend by districts. Private Schools can allow kids from all over Southern Cal, to recruit, play, and put together a Super Team of special kids.....

Drafted in 07, A Marlin by 2010....and indeed only 24 yrs. old.

So that wasn't blue lipstick and nail polish A-Roid used? As a matter of fact, it does look similar to freezer burn, or suction burns, as you said from sucking on Jeter's ass. No wonder Derek was never a Alex supporter, to fond of Alex. Leeches are not fun to have sticking to one's ass.

What did the right testicle say to the left testicle?

Don't talk to the guy in the middle, he's a dick.

crap, all I got is Atari..........LMAO....

Table Tennis in black and white anyone...

Honestly tho' my son is a avid hard core gamer. I should get a new MLB game, its been 10 years, since I last played my P.C. MLB game.

Nothing like it, one could choose from Hall of Famers, to play any current team.

    The likes of
    Ruth
    Gehrig
    T. Williams
    W.Mays
    J. Foxx
    Joe DiMaggio
    Harmon Killebrew
    Mick
    Griffey Jr.

although McGwire and Balco Barry were no match even in a CEG arena. Perhaps the programmer knew something we didn't back then, before the wheels fell off of the bus.

and/or take your pick of a roster full of greats.
At first the game was a challenge, then after adapting it was nothing to have a lopside 70+ to 3 or 4 point blow out of a game, ie, HOF'ers-versus (and kicking the shit out of) the Modern Day-Series Champs, or other modern day All Star Teams. Ruth was programmed to hit a HR every 8 at bats, Williams every 9 at bats. Yet, with the right stroke, it was more like every other at bat, for any of those I listed.

Or one could play HR derby, and choose their park. Coors Field, was a hoot, as was Milwaukee, and Arizona, the ball flew out of those simulated parks. Nothing like the short porch of NY either. 3 outs, and 90 HR's later, Hehe....an old man with his games.

OMG, what a game concept! Call it Pharmaceutical League. Develop players using PEDs and pit them up against all star teams from years gone by. Classic...after a baseball edition, a NFL version, etc. Of course, what would roided out hockey players look like....death match on ice? Lol!

Kershaw can opt out of his contract by 2018. He will be making 30 million then. The Kid is the second coming of Sandy Koufax....(no blasphemy).

I was going to add Strasburg, Sanchez mabye even Scherzer if he has a good year, and is not a one year fluke. Of course I doubt Verlander could be pried from Detroit's bloody hands. I thought some would think I was going overboard, had I of listed all the SP's I'd love to see in Pinstripes.

As exciting as it was to see Koufax pitch in Chavez Ravine in person, it was just as fun to see Bob Gibson (who I modeled my pitching delivery after in LL), and of course Drysdale, Marichal, check out his patented leg kick.

    marichal.jpg

I sound like an old focking dinosaur, dating myself...Oh well, today's heroe's are exciting too.

Did you ever read the book titled: "The Mick"?

Mantle described batting against Koufax or- "The Left Hand of God"-in the 63 Series: Koufax threw me a first pitch 100 mph heater high for a strike. I swung, and it hit the catchers mitt before my bat came around late. Next pitch Sandy threw a change up, a huge looping curveball, and I was sitting on his fastball. Strike 2, I stepped out of the batters box, and looked at the Ump, and Roseboro, and said "how in the hell am I supposed to hit this guy"? Koufax struck out 15 in game One of the 63 Series. 3 walks, 6 Hits and 2 Earned Runs.

Koufax was 2-0 in the 63 Series, pitched all 18 innings he started, and had 23 strike outs. The man always rose to the occassion, no doubt.

Mantle hit .133 in that Series, which the Bums swept the Bomber in 4 games. However Mickey did tag Koufax for a deep HR, in game 4 in the 7th inning.

When that series began I boarded a train in San Diego and by the time I arrived in Worcester Mass it was over. Yankees traded Moose Skowron to LA and it came back to haunt them. Don't know which series loss was more shocking the '60 or '63.

With the exception of today the Giants offense has pretty much been non exsistant lately. I think they hit 6-7 HRs today.

The NL West right now seems like no Team wants to stay in 1st place. Bums lost 5 of the last 9, defense is off, bats silent to often. Greinke dealt a hot hand to Philly, 9 K's in the 1st 4 innings. 11 in 7 innings, and 2 Runs (doubles) by Greinke, helping himself with his Arm and Bat.

Frisco a half game out, (where oh where did the super freak Lincecum go, did his haircut do a Samson-Delilah number on the 2 time consecutive Cy Young Award Winner ?

Diego, one game out of first. All a Team has to do to take over the NL West is play .500 ball, as has been the NL West Norm for a decade or two, simply play .500 ball...bullshit...these teams aren't playing up to their own standards. Nothing like last years hot sizzling Bums run, after the All Star Break.

someone light a fire under these Teams asses...!!!
