I had the flu a few weeks ago and I know I couldn't hit a clutch floater in the lane to save my life!

The difference is you can't do that when healthy, either.

Thanks for posting this, I wouldn't have seen it in that other thread. It deserves its own thread.

If Lin is limited in game 2 that could be a huge bonus for the Blazers. Houston really needs his offense to create drives, especially off the bench. As much as Houston scores, lots of it is in transition. They have stretches where they really struggle in the half court but Lin with his driving ability is a great offensive option for them.

Especially if bev is not 100%. If both of their point guards have ailments and mchale decides to double Aldridge, Houston is in for a world of hurt.

May just be a 24 hour bug. He'll probably be fine and play.

If not, their bench may actually be worse than ours. We had the lowest scoring bench during the regular season (24.4 ppg), but their bench was ranked 26th and only scored 2.9 more ppg (27.3) than ours. Take away Lin's 14 points in game 1 and their bench matches our pathetic 7 points.

But with, or without Lin, I look for Mo to step up and have a MUCH better game in Game 2. Our starters are better than their's overall. If our bench can match their's, or even outscore them, I really like our chances.

Lin is actually more dangerous than Beverley because Dame has a hard time staying in front of him. Yes, he's a poor defender, but Beverley didn't exactly shut Dame down either.

    Cute.

You're new here, so I'll let you in on a secret: we rarely talk basketball here. In fact, I'm pretty sure the only reason people are talking basketball here is because it's playoff time and we're up 1-0.

I'm actually not new here. I just rarely post. Just wasn't sure what else floater would mean in the context I used it.

Exactly! If Lin misses game 2 that will be huge for us. This is a must win for Houston and will put even more pressure on them by having to make an adjustment for not having Lin on top of all the other game 2 adjustments they already have to make. Shall be interesting

Lin was almost single-handedly keeping them in the game in OT.... well..... Lin and the refs.

Haha... Well in that case my floater game is pretty bunk. I occasionally have the impressive breacher from time to time.

Is a floater like a fluffer but only works on the water gigs like Capt. Stappin' videos?
