Cue the Rockets fans: Donaghy is right on Salvatore. But he's a disgraced ref, so what he says about Foster holds no water.
"Salvator couldn't do a 5th or 6th grade girls game without messing up." That said, if Foster had money on Portland, then that Lopez foul was even more boneheaded than it already was.
I fully expect this. Although I don't think the calls will be lopsided, instead of 1 more free throw I think they will get 10 more, and it will be throughout the game. Howard getting away with elbows hurts Houston though. They would have been better off getting called for it.
Also funny how he says Foster was only helping us because Salvatore was screwing us, but we didn't really start getting the crap end of the refs until the 2nd half. Donaghy just trying to stay relevant.
I think I read Donaghy now runs an online sports betting site so whatever he says has to be slanted in his favor
Of course that's going to happen. Early fouls on one of the Blazer stars, or both, and allowing Houston bump on the defensive end. It's so easy to rig a game as a ref.
It wouldn't surprise me if Salvatore was towing the company line and Foster was on his own agenda. I really don't think we were supposed to win that game.
This forum is unbearable to read right now after a WIN I see a ton of posts criticizing Houston fans, yet the fans here are acting the same way
Do you really think anyone on here would be talking about starting a petition to replay the last 10 seconds?
Most Blazers fans are talking about it because we're saying it was bad both ways, and in response to the crying Rocket fans. Big difference from just outright crying/complaining. If you can't figure that out, nobody can help you.
That's because the NBA decided to isolate one call of the game as being incorrect. That's actually newsworthy for a playoff game. Blame the NBA for it. We could be talking about LMA's 48/16 game, or Lillard's top-tier all-time playoff debut. Instead, it's refsrefsrefs, and that's on the NBA.
