Not to beat up on Houston fans, but some fans are very savy (NY, Chicago...) and some are morons- like Houston. They just don't get the game.
I share it too, we're no different than any other fans when it comes to hyperbole. Every single fan group in every major sports league in the United States is the same.

you want proof that this forum goes nuts over the same things Houston fans are going nuts over? Just read any (and every) game thread. Almost without fail, there are posts convinced that the refs are crooked, or out to get the Blazers, or screw over the team. Not saying it's everyone, but I'm certain that the posts/threads that have been highlighted by some of us here, do not speak for the majority of their fans. Just like the crazy shit that some of us say here, doesn't speak for the majority of the Blazers fans.
