We came into their house, invaders not given a second thought. Resilient, determined and inspired we stole faith and heart. Not settled to leave with scraps of victory incomplete we sought to plunder all there was to be had, to dominate and befoul all they knew to be good. Now the sanctity of their confidence shattered, the will of their supporters defiled, we head home knowing the sweet joy of the conquering heros. Home…and they will come. Not as invited guests but as broken, wounded animals, desperation in their eyes seeking any remaining chance at redemption. It cannot be so. For in this shrine, none can hear the prayers to gods so far removed from them. The roar of our support and the might of our will transcends any hope would-be thieves might wish for here. No, we shall turn back these vagrants and forcefully remove them from our presence knowing no salvation, redemption denied. Not before, I think, we make them bare witness to the ushering of a new era…Reborn is Rip City!
How much do you want to bet Mark Jackson and the rest of the Warriors watched that game and said to themselves, "Now, that's how we should have approached a Game Two."?
A wounded animal is a dangerous animal. Unpredictable and desperate... Game 3 is huge, Portland's got to go in for the kill.
I have an intro I'd like to suggest for Game Four, but only if we win tonight. I don't want to jinx it.
not to be a downer but "conquering heroes" come home having won wars, we won a few battles which is very nice but lets stay hopeful, humble, and focused and not get ahead of ourselves
I'd be tempted by this:
