Casey's on 620 right now, and he expounded a little on this story. Said that the coconut water was placed in his locker just as something he might be willing to try (presumably because the coconut water people sent a bunch to the Blazers), and Aldridge was more than a little hesitant. Before drinking it, he told whoever it was who gave it to him (I wasn't listening closely enough to hear who it was), "If I have a bad game tonight, it's on you." So now we know (kind of) who to thank for his dominance in Houston.
I drink coconut water on business trips and when traveling heavily. I feel more energized, and it helps with recovering from late nights drinking (which is part of the job).
It actually is when you work in the alcohol industry. In fact, I find myself more and more trying to get through a meal and bow out of the evening early to avoid the late night drinking sessions when on the road with customers and other industry folk.
I like the Ocean Water at Sonic...mmmm....little ice. We drive from Gresham to Wilsonville just to go to Sonic for happy hour soda.
That is good stuff. Sonic has a lot of tasty beverages. We used to go there on Fridays or Saturday evenings, especially in the summer when we were like 2-3 miles from it.
Coconut milk and coconut water are different. One is basically fat, the other sugar! Hell, if it works for LMA, fine.
I have a Sonic literally 2 minutes from my house (I can see it outside my window)... and I still have not done the happy hour thing... now I feel like I'm taking it for granted. lol.
Didn't LaMarcus leave the bench for a spell in the second game? Or maybe it was the first? I remember someone commenting on it that he must have had to take a leak.
In dog racing, you bet on the dog that shits during the showing right before. Same principle here. La was super light on his feet after the coconut water.
Un...freaking...real. I was going to post that my dad told me that when I was a little kid. I decided to pass. LOL
