Gimme a break. One game doesn't blow our chances -- especially one that was decided on a fluke play at the end. We'll get Game 4 and they'll get down. We win this on the road.
Nothing has changed, Maxie. We still have HCA. Win a couple home games and the series is ours. And we've shown we can win in Houston so we could win in 5. I'd rather be us than OKC and Indiana.
That's exactly how I feel. It kinda feels like the Miami game in the regular season. Just a couple bounces and a few inches and it's a different story... but, we still have a one game lead... and the way the mindset seems to be on the team, I'm not worried about any letdown or "oh no, here we go" mentality.
Yes. I still think we win. It took me 30 mins for these feelings to come out. But Portland is the better team.
We just came a hair from winning this game, could of easily been our win. Houston played a great game, they earned it, they won 1..still we have the upper hand. Get em next time
Can we get Voodoo Doughnuts to make a "The Beard" doughnut for us to poke and defile as we chomp off his beard frosting and leave him powerless?
Our boys will move on from this loss and get ready to kick ass in the next game. It's times to take care of business!
Harden played his best game of the series, but shot a ton of shots to get there, and the only reason that Houston wins is because of some fluke play. The Blazers should feel confident going into game 4. The Blazers keep finding different ways to compete. Dame and Nico getting to the rim was nice to see. I would have liked to see a little bit more RoLo in crunch time, particularly when he is playing like that. Also, a little surprised they didn't try to ride Mo Williams a little longer in the 4th or in OT. The Blazers missed shots towards the end of the 4th and in OT that you expect them to make. They just got to shake it off and come out ready to play tomorrow.
We need to up our defensive intensity the way Houston did and REBOUND! Houston played physical defense. That's why they fouled us more than we fouled them, and that's why they got away with so many fouls. The refs won't call all of them. That's playoff basketball, the kind McHale is used to. As much as I think we got hosed on some critical plays, we still had a chance to win but our guys did not show their usual poise at the end. We'll get 'em next time.
Fluke play at the end? Houston beat us in offensive rebounding 22-13 that led to 15 more shots for Houston. Your going to blame it on the refs? Oh and by the way Howard and Asik combined for 11 of those offensive rebounds.
And yet, we were in the game and had a good chance to win. We win this game and you are not talking about the offensive rebounds of Howard and Asik.
This is no surprise, the first 3 games were all so close and could have gone either way, IMO we should be very happy we are up 2-1 and still at home. Yeah last night was woulda-shoulda-coulda but we remain in a very good position, but obviously Game 4 is HUGE
As horribly frustrating it was a loss for us, it must have been 100x more for our guys. We didn't play nearly as great as we can...LA got tentative there in the 2nd half, Mo was good-mo and bad-mo, Houston went crazy and was playing as good as they really can against us ...AND we were still in there to have a chance to win it. Game 4, redemption. Bring it. (also i think they need to give out shirts or signs in a plaid pattern of red, black and white for Dr. Jack!)
