I want to see him get some run tonight, either in place of Wright, or in place of Mo. He's loosey-goosey and seems to have none of the tightness that's plaguing our bench right now.
I agree. He has a disruptive, unpredictable offense that could really create some problems for San Antonio.
I think that's why they had such a problem with Ellis last series... The Spurs are a defensive timing team. Their defense is to make you uncomfortable and throw your timing off. So even though you are wide open, the amount of energy to get that open causes you to miss more than make. Having a jerky jerky player like Barton, throws a wrench in their team oriented defense. That's why LBJ does so well against the spurs too.
Barton is the only other guy on our team that has whatever it is that Lillard has. He doesn't give a FUCK who you are, where the game is being played, what time tip-off is, what he had for breakfast - he's gonna go out and BALL. He doesn't play the same way his teammates play, so you can't read what he's about to do and then OOPS - the ball's in the hoop! Or OOPs - he just picked off my pass and now he windmill dunked 80' away from me.
I'm just going to say that if I have to watch Mo Williams for 28 minutes again tonight, I'm going to probably throw up.
Idk about this year But if next year Terry can't find a way to use Barton then he just sucks at managing his bench and developing players
I think Stotts has nothing to lose by playing him 6 minutes and just seeing what happens. Maybe he waits till we're home, but regardless, Will should play.
I think Will/Robinson are a nice change of pace. They are both high energy guys, they're both quick and young and athletic, and they attack the rim. I really like bringing them in for short spurts to wreak havoc. The crash brothers!
A combo of trob and barton on the floor is pure unpredictable controlled chaos. I like it. Hell claver had some good chemistry with them boys too.
