The St. Louis Rams drafted Utah State star safety Maurice Alexander in the fourth round with the 110th selection in the draft. It is an interesting story, but not a pretty one. Alexander was sentenced to a year in jail after punching a teammate at a party. According to Deseret News, his teammate Joseph DeMartino needed surgery for broken broken bones his eye socket and a fractured cheekbone, and Alexander was suspended from the team for a season and after pleading guilty to a lesser charge he got all but 45 days of his sentence suspended.

But what he did in that time off is what makes this story interesting.

    From For The Win:

Alexander — from Eureka, Missouri — was kicked off the team for a season and returned home, where he worked as a janitor at the Edward Jones Dome, home of the Rams.
