The Houston Texans have selected Jadeveon Clowney with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft.

Clowney has been widely regarded as the top overall prospect in this year's draft class and is considered the best pass-rusher to enter the NFL in years.

But Clowney recently has faced speculation about his work ethic following his sub-par junior season at South Carolina, where he had just three sacks.

The 6-foot-5, 266-pound Clowney was one of college football's most dominant players as a sophomore in 2012, when he recorded 13 sacks and was named the SEC's Defensive Player of the Year.
