Viacom money or the UFC never giving Coker a real gig?

Coker helped raise Strikeforce's profile and put on some of the highest rated events in MMA history. The UFC purchased Strikeforce in 2011, merging the company into the UFC fully in 2013.

Bellator is planning on moving away from their tournament format and into planned fights. IMHO, the better Bellator does, the better it is for MMA.

Dunno what will become of Bjorn Rebney. FWIW I think he did a pretty great job of getting Bellator on Spike. I don't know if the PPV model is something they should pursue. Dana White didn't like him but I can't imagine he's thrilled that Coker will now be competing with him with "Viacom money" in hand.

UFC founder Campbell McLaren found the time to wish Scott Coker best of luck by hoping that he doesn't put his new company "$40-million in debt," like he allegedly did with Strikeforce.

    Nice guy.

Conspiracy theories abound that Coker is a Manchurian Candidate installed by the UFC to help in the downfall of their only current competition. Here's to hoping Coker does a bang-up job and creates an environment like the NWO vs. Attitude days.
