...might as well put that "are we a contender yet?" talk on hold a year; the Gatekeeper of the West is back one more time.

    $10.3 million player option?

LMA is totally worth that much!

Maybe we could trade Wes and Leonard for him. Expiring contract for us and he would be a bargain.

Kris Humphries gets paid more than Duncan.

    Dwell on that.

I really can't wait till the core of the Spurs retire. So tired of their consistency... They need to suck for awhile like everyone else has.

I was kind of expecting him to retire. To go out on top but the spurs have a legit shot at coming out of the west again next year.

The Blazers had there chance when the Spurs offered up Duncan for Oden. Must have thought Duncan was to old.

    Oden was untouchable.

If you touch him, he breaks.

How to avoid the Spurs in the playoffs. There is the real question. Need that second bracket.
so #2/4/6/7 seeds avoid the spurs until the WCF right?. Go blazers.

We may have a better chance this next year based on the Spurs' history. They have yet to win back to back championships. Of course they have made it to the finals back to back...so that is still an obstacle. But getting there 3 straight years will be very tough for them. I would say the odds are against them.
