@GoodmanESPN: Mo Williams has informed Portland that he will become a free agent, agent Mark Bartelstein told ESPN.

If Mo is reasonable in his contract demands I would love to have him back.

No win scenario for the Blazers.

Flawed as he is, Mo was their best (often only) offensive weapon off-the-bench. Losing him hurts - but over-paying to keep him hurts worse.

He'll probably be back with the Blazers, so I wish him luck as well.

Mo's a team player; he's playing this team like a fiddle.

You think he'll accept less money than his 2nd year would have been?

I think he'd accept the maximum raise after one year for 2 more years with a player option after the 1st. We're not giving him the MLE.

I think he'll take the highest amount over multiple seasons a team will offer him. If that amount is close to what Portland is offering I believe he'll stay here.

I think he is an out of control dribble or bad pass waiting on the bench.
I wish him well doing it against the Blazers.

If they want to go big with their MLE then I would say re-sign Mo.
If they want to use the MLE on a guard, then I would say good bye.
If they want to use CJ in a trade then I say re-sign him.

But having CJ and Mo is too redundant when we have other needs.

I expected much better from Mo this past season, but even then, he knows how to get a shot off. Unfortunately, he also badly damages the ability of any second unit players playing with him. Get me a point guard who can add confidence to the young guys coming off the bench, not keep the ball away from them. Ramon Sessions, Shaun Livingston, and many more would be a better option than Mo.

For the BAE? Sure, after we see who'll sign for the MLE.

I'd love to have him back for the right price. I think it depends on our plans for CJ as well as if we have another guard in our sights and how he reacts to not being the first choice.

Nah let him go, we need more defense off the bench even though he was our only guy that could score off the bench.....lol

We need to shoot for a team average of 10 ppg off the bench

The HCP disagrees.....I think he was a very integral part of our success this season. He played this season exactly how he has over his career. Losing him would hurt a lot more than overpaying him.

Why would we use the bae on Mo? We have the non bird exception to resign him with that's worth more than the bae and doesn't use it. That makes no sense
