I want us to do this trade: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=pma79va Portland gets Geroge Hill Indy gets Jose Caderon and 2nd round pick from NY NY gets Dorrell Wright & CJ McCollum Indy needs a floor spacing PG who can setup an effective offense. They can hide the defensive limitations of Calderon. With Melo leaving NY the Knicks will want to clear Calderon's contract for expiring deals and tank next season. CJ McCollum gives the Knicks young talent on a cheap rookie contract. The Blazers get a good defensive player who would make an excellent combo guard off the bench. Hill leaves something to be desired as a starter but he would likely be our best bench player. He can hit an open three. He is available because some consider him a bit overpaid. But beyond next season Hill has two years at $8 million each which is an acceptable price to get a quality rotational player.
Hill is owed a lot for the next two seasons. Granted we give up almost nothing to get him but I still dont' like it that much.
