Re: The Ultimate Fighter 19: Team Edgar vs. Team Penn Finale (Jul/6)

Supposedly none of the competitors on this season of TUF outside of the finalists will appear on the Finale or be offered UFC contracts. Dhiego Lima sounds like an exception should he not advance.

So Dufresne and Moras both missed weight. Their fight will go on as a catchweight.

Re: The Ultimate Fighter 19: Team Edgar vs. Team Penn Finale (Jul/6)

Apparently Andy Dufresne was far from making weight in the lead-up to the fight and Moras' camp started rehydrating knowing that it wouldn't be at 135.

There's going to be a lot of people blaming Jason Parillo and BJ's camp but the guy is responsible for his own career.

People calling for Frank Edgar to step in and fight Chad Mendes in three weeks to save 176.

Should spend some time talking about Frankie after that sterling performance.

Everything he did was good. He was quicker to the punch, threw combinations to muddle BJ's counter attack, worked for take-downs, kept up the pace and stayed active in BJ's guard, and ultimately ground BJ into dust faster than even GSP could.

Edgar might be in a similar territory to Urijah Faber in that he's great but just a cut below the championship level but you really can't argue that he isn't still a top contender.

You know it's a lopsided fight when the winner announces how bad he feels for the loser afterwards.
