Undefeated MMA fighter Holly Holm (7-0) has been signed by the UFC after a long contract negotiation. The 32-year old from Albuquerque, NM is an 18-time world champion in boxing who transitioned to MMA in 2011. Holm is seen as the pre-eminent female striker in MMA along with Cris Santos. With a dearth of competitors in the Ronda Rousey division it's likely the UFC will fast-track her towards a title shot by pitting her against a top fighter in her début, someone such as Sarah Kaufman or Liz Carmouche.
