I know he was a huge disappointment last season. What's strange is that he normally isn't this bad for his entire career. What if it was once in a year thing? What if he actually comes out and becomes the player we hoped for?

If wright could be at his career average rate, he would be such a big help. I'm hoping...

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Last year looks like an aberration for Wright. He's smack in the middle of his prime and he essentially his worst season since his rookie year (not counting 2008-09, when he missed nearly the entire season). I think he's a good bounce back bet. Over the four years before last season, he had established himself as a roughly league average player with solid scoring efficiency and a little bit of rebounding and passing value. His scoring efficiency dropped a lot last year, but I don't see any reason to believe that he's suddenly a worse player.

I think he tried to put the ball on the floor too much, he is just a corner 3 guy imo and next season that's how he should be used.

I had really high hopes for him going into last season, and (like everyone) was severely disappointed by what he contributed. If he is able to accept and fulfill his role as a steady Eddie of the bench who can hit a three when it comes in the flow of the offense, he could be a wonderful asset. I haven't lost faith in him yet.

Batum plays way too many minutes. I'm bored with his Mo Williams dribbling act. Free Dorell !

He played better after the winning 3 against Sacramento. I think he wasn't sure about his role early in the year and just didn't seem comfortable or confident. He was also getting too many minutes for his own good or the team's, I think if he gets a smaller but more defined role he would give us good value, he should be lower in the rotation, maybe the bottom of the 2nd five or even lower (also since we signed Blake, Kaman).
He's probably still our 2nd SF but I like Claver better if he's able to start at least making free-throws.

    Edit: Double Post.

I think Batum's backup would actualy be either Blake or Barton most of the time.

I think he'll play better with Blake.

I think that injury to his finger really hurt him. I remember reading somewhere he had to change his shot because of it. He shot it a lot better later in the year. I expect him to bounce back.

If Kaman is ana all star again we might get into round 2
If anyone plays defense we could be better

wright is wrong and I'd not at all mind him gone so we could open up another roster spot, the same can be said for a few others as well

It's a new season. He's had a year to acclimate. I had already resolved to give him a blank slate coming into this season. I actually do expect him to perform better than he did last season. (Of course, I expected the same thing last season.... ;) )

Wright didn't shoot very well last season just like Freeland and Claver yet all three were above average defenders. Stotts system is not a quick study and after a year in the system I think he'll improve. He has to if he wants to play this season and I think he got the lecture at the exit interviews. The good thing is he won't have to play in the post now with Kaman and Freeland coming back healthy. He was forced to play out of position quite a bit last year when LA was injured. Like someone said, it's a contract year for him and the competition at his position just got tougher. He rebounded and defended well last year though.

Was going to say the exact same thing. His jumper is too flat and when he puts the ball on the floor before shooting, there's just too many motions happening with his jumper, causing it so misfire. He's strictly a spot-up shooter, who is at his best with his feet set before letting it fly.

Trade him to Cleveland, perhaps for Dellavedova. More minutes for Crabbe.
