Nikola Mirotic has announced that he will sign with the Chicago Bulls this offseason.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported that it will be a three-year deal worth more than $17 million.

Mirotic was the 23rd overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft and has been with Real Madrid since 2008.

Mirotic, a 6-foot-10 forward, was the Spanish League MVP in the 2013 season and brings a well-regarded offensive game to Chicago. He shot 46 percent from 3-point range for Real Madrid in the 2013-14 season, establishing himself as one of the finest jump-shooting power forwards in the world.

After completing his contract buyout with Real Madrid, Mirotic will be paid out of the Bulls' midlevel exception.

    (How do they get MLE?)

Good question since it's impossible to say what the Bulls current cap situation is without knowing what they're doing with Boozer.

They need to clear $6.5M in actual cap space to sign Pau.

They used the room exception on Kirk, which implies they don't have the MLE. You get one or the other, to the best of my understanding.

Well obviously they wont get paid until Boozer is let go. Wednesday is the last day.

I read they want to trade Randolph for cap space so they can finish with the roster

I'm sure that they'd like to trade Boozer to one team and somehow (throw around a couple 2nd round picks and/or some cash) include Gasol as a sign and trade rather than a FA pickup. It's possible, but requires some serious knife skills.

One of them will be our backup PG if Rose gets hurt.

Fran Frischilla says he has playmaking skills.

Does his game resemble a Turkoglu?

It's downright comical, the front-office haters who are whining and complaining that "the Bulls don't have a back-up PG yet" are the same ones who whined the loudest when Nate and DJ weren't brought back.

How did the front-office get Nate and DJ? Veteran's minimum.

They whined the exact same whine the last two years when Kirk was the only back-up PG, and I'm sure that whatever PG they sign this year for the vet min will be whined about just as much next year at this time.

The FOH wouldn't be so comical if there was even one ounce of consistency to their "arguments". Although, I guess "bitch and moan about whatever the FO does, no matter what" is consistent.

The comic relief is outstanding, though, so I'm not complaining.

We have a backup PG. He struggled to get his PER over 10 all season, but finished pretty good.

    Generally an awful player anymore.

To be fair, you can generally approve of what the front office does and not like a particular move.

I was understanding of Robinson not being brought back. And who knows with DJ . Perhaps the additional money offered to DJ over what we could have offered with the room exception made all the difference. That's understandable.

I am in support of what the front office has done this off-season. Really, the only move I don't like is Hinrich with the room exception. He's been pretty rough.

I hardly think that qualifies me as a hater.
