Colombian keeper David Ospina may be the man to replace Łukasz Fabiański as Arsenal's close number two keeper. Ospina was outstanding in the World Cup helping propel Colombia to new heights allowing just four goals in five games. The 25-year old would not only be a solid back-up but the kind of player that could push Wojciech Szczęsny. Ospina is a free agent IIRC.
The fee for Ospina is reportedly £3.2-million which seems an incredible bargain for the 25-year old. They're saying he'll join on a five-year deal. Goes without saying we have several other Spanish speaking players at the club not to mention Wenger himself but having another new South American may help acclimatize Alexis.
The Telegraph says the deal is done. Arsenal.com announcement today or tomorrow. Good bit of business, this.
