    Everything you read talks about how outside shooting, particularly from beyond the arc, is at an all-time premium. Still, Fredette, who can not only spot-up shoot it from distance, but also create his own shot off the dribble, has to accept a 1-year minimum contract for a team named the Pelicans.

    Tell me again how defense isn't that important.
