Not much demand for these older 5'10" shoot first PGs with career .413 shooting percentages.

Anyhow, I hope he plays instead of you-know-who.

12 ppg 5 apg in his last stint?

I'd say there is a market for that for a backup guard.

we amnestied you know who for the better and he didn't even play the same position.

The guy is 29, and he was 9/3.2 last season (to be accurate).

I'm going to make an easy prediction.

At this time next year, Denny will be blasting Bulls management for letting Aaron Brooks sign with another team.

Continuity is bad. Signing the next 6' PG who may or may not be as good is brilliant.

2 teams. 1 bad fit. 29 is a perfectly fine age for a back up guard. A higher profile guy would have likely meant giving up more than should be parted with. IMHO.

Heck if we could have had Rose Noah LBJ and Anthony with a stellar cast...well we would be playing NBA2K14 not basketball but ok.

Anyone can trade check out of the box moves. Heck even a mope like me can do that. Deals take 2 sides. I have gone into mediations prepping clients that we want to get the best we can but deals that work voluntarily can best be described as neither side leaves feeling screwed and neither side leaves completely thrilled.

The Bulls have made advantageous moves. They, IMO got more than they gave up this offseason. They were very good. They got betterto very better depending on our layman POV.

James was out of reach financially and he had his own agenda. Anthony, we had his ear, but he went for the cash behind door #2. Can't blame him. Better players than him never got a ring. Several of them played for the Knicks.

Sorry for the sometimes disjointed posts. My phone doesn't like this site sometimes with edits, pastes, links etc.

point is we made really good moves this offseason. Moves I like. Brooks shores up a need as a backcourt backup asset.

A scoring 2 HOF 6'6" starting stud would have been awesome but no squad is perfect and in the building of a better team, quibbling is fair game but I am pleased.

if Rose plays 70+ games for starter minutes and is healthy for post season I call contender.

Get tapatalk for your phone. From the App Store or google play. It's not expensive and well worth it.

Wow, way to go out on a limb there transplant.

You know damn good and well that teams whose first concern isn't PROFITS!!! usually find a way to circumvent the Salary Cap and pay their 3rd-string PG $3 million a year.

And if our front office wasn't so incompetent, they would figure out ways around the Salary Cap.

“You never know what’s going to happen,” said Brooks, 29. “I enjoyed some success this past year when I got the opportunity to play. I think they just want me to come in, work hard, and help push everyone. I’ll be playing behind Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich, two excellent point guards. So I’ll just go in and work, push them in practice and make them the best players they can be. I’ll help out in any way that I can.”*

As for Rose, Brooks can’t wait to play with the former NBA MVP. Though Rose suffered a season-ending knee injury 10 games into last season, Brooks was impressed by how good Rose had looked until that point.*

“When he came back last year, I thought he was on his way to looking better,” said Brooks of Rose. “It surprised me how quick he was so quickly after coming back. I haven’t met him yet, but I don’t have any doubts that he’ll be strong and healthy.*

“One thing I’ll say about him is that he’s a winner,” Brooks added of Rose. “I definitely got that when we played against him. He goes out there and he competes and he wins games. To me, he’s definitely the most athletic point guard in the league and he finds a way to get the job done.”*

Good stuff for a fluff piece.

I do expect criticism for his not treating Hinrich like a mule riding leper on Molokai.
