Everyone associated with Derrick Rose’s second straight serious knee rehabilitation has said the process has gone smoothly.

Now, it’s finally time to publicly see the results.

Rose on Monday will be one of 18 players at USA Basketball’s five-day minicamp in Las Vegas. The week begins the process that will include a three-day August stint in Chicago and culminate with a 12-man roster traveling to Spain for the FIBA Basketball World Cup from late August to mid-September.

Yeah, it's too bad Rose is stuck playing for such a lousy organization that refuses to spend the money necessary to put a championship team around him. Maybe he'll get lucky and the Bulls will decide to trade him to a free-spending organization like the Nets or Knicks... you know, teams that are serious contenders for an NBA title each and every year.

Just saw sportscenter on Derrick Rose. I am going to post what another poster said at another Bulls forum, but I can agree Windhorst said pretty much what the poster said.

rose was impressive - ahead of teammates - he felt good - sometimes in front of teammates
rose: my confidence is very high - through the roof
rose is relieved to come back on the court - scouts said bouncy
coach k said he looked good
rose got winded a little bit earlier, asked to be taken out because he was giving the most energy on the court compared to others
when he was on court, he looked terrific. no sign of even him missing last year
he clearly trusted his knees - really great first day for rose.
paxson & forman were here today

*Sigh* I guess, though I really had my sights set on Joe Johnson... :(

JJ is guaranteed through 2015-16, that would prove that the front office is serious about winning...

The Bulls really thought they had him. Plan b and all of that. Hawks went wild and made him the highest paid player by a large margin over other players.
