Out of the Team USA training camp roster is Dame the person who should get the last shot? I believe so...There are certainly other good candidates, which I have highlighted in bold. It's just hard to go against Dame after seeing him do it time and time again in only 2 years, it's like I can't recall him missing a big shot, has he? John Wall (Wizards), Bradley Beal (Wizards), Stephen Curry (Warriors), Klay Thompson (Warriors), Paul Milsap (Hawks), Kyle Korver (Hawks), DeMarcus Cousins (Kings), Anthony Davis (Pelicans), DeMar DeRozan (Raptors), Andre Drummond (Pistons), Kevin Durant (Thunder), Kenneth Faried (Nuggets), Paul George (Pacers), James Harden (Rockets), Gordon Hayward (Jazz), Kyrie Irving (Cavaliers), Damian Lillard (Trail Blazers), Chandler Parsons (Mavericks) and Derrick Rose (Bulls). I'd take Dame, Durant, Curry, Beal, George, in that order. I wonder if it could help him get on the team. On a training camp special aired on NBATV today some one(can't remember who) on the panel said they thought we would possibly see specialists make the team. IE: Kenneth Faried, energy and rebounding.
As much as we Hate that fucking Flopper Harden, He's hit some big time clutch shots (many against us). I'd include him over Brad Beal.
I would have if I hadn't watched his 0% shooting during big moments during us. I'd put parsons over harden!
What?? You do watch the games don't you? Now mind you Harden is a flopping BITCH to me. But you gotta give credit where it was due...
12 get selected, and you really think it's absurd considering dame the player you want tot make the last shot? He hit 2 buzzer beaters in game 6 of the playoffs. 2/2 on buzzer beaters in the same game. Back to back buzzer beaters vs Detroit and Cleveland. Durant has been in the league 3x as long and hasn't achieved that.
I akin it to a community theater play. Some of the roles are already pre-selected. Durant is one of those pre-selected, and the only way he doesn't get on the roster is if he drops out. And Dame hit 2 buzzer beaters in game 6? When was the other one?
My apologies. Totally misread your post. I was thinking you meant the last shot of making the roster, like last open slot. BIG difference, haha.
End of the first quarter Go ahead, name another player from that list who has hit 2 buzzer beaters in the same win and advance playoff game! Honestly I want to know the last player to hit two buzzer beaters in the same playoff game...and how many times it has happened.
Watching harden drives me crazy. Look at those cinder block hands he has 40 seconds in... Lillard might be number one, but he's definitely top 3 most clutch players currently playing He also scored on the last play in the third, albeit not a buzzer beater.
Any shot taken in the first quarter is, by definition, not clutch. Should we give guys credit for hitting shots at the end of the shotclock too?
I get what you're saying, but I also wanted to point out that there's a level of clutchness that goes with scoring in the playoffs in general.
Dame missed what would've been a game winning or tying layup against Philly last season. He missed a shot against Lakers too with Meeks playing good D on him.
