There is an interesting episode on the concept and theories of time. One believes that time is just an ignorant answer to thermal dynamics. Basically theorizing that the universe doesn't care about time and only when a solar system at a larger system manifest, time comes into the picture. So in other words, time doesn't create heat... Heat generates time. I haven't watched the entire episode yet but would love to pick our brain
Yes, which is funny because the next theory explained in just this way. She used a sugar cube and said "when you walk away from the cube, it looks like a sugar cube. But when you look closely, there is much more. Grains make up the cube". She believes that future time is always changing and the past cannot be changed. And the present is birth to more time atoms.
I wouldn't say that. But you would be fucking amazed to hear my nightly prayer. The only thing I know to exist are levels of consciousness. That's the atom, the basic unit, of my epistemology. I'm gonna crash now. Goodnight.
So everything that happened, is happening and will happen is all laid out like a map. Sounds supernatural
But we are here for such a short time, it's all very exciting. But much too short on time to grasp a hell of a lot. Stephen Hawking suggest in his book, a Brief History of Time that perhaps we (humans) are not to know all there is to know about time, that indeed may be part of the definition of time. Surely we have too little time to see enough time to know.
Other than Will, I don't think many know the answers or theory that well. We are just discussing opinions...
I guess that all depends on what you believe. I believe in conscious life eternal. So my physical life maybe short, but I am very excited to ascend to my eternal spiritual self!
I watched the episode last night. You aren't presenting the theory accurately at all. Distance = rate x time Time = rate / distance. If rate is zero, time is zero. If distance is zero, such as exactly at the Big Bang, then time is indeterminant. Thus time started when the universe expanded so there was some size (distance).
How is that wrong? He explains that heat generated time. The heat from singularity started time. The moment the Big Bang started, time started. But if you watched that episode, then you would have heard his entire theory. He definitely believed that time shouldn't be factored. Watch it again!
