Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) The UFC didn't really try to hide the fact they cobbled this event together from loose fights from UFC 176 and whatnot. The main card is bizarre. The main event seems really rushed to me but what do I know?
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) This just isn't a PPV card. This is a decent UFC on FOX card.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) The UFC has signed Joe Soto and Anthony Birchak who will compete against each other on this card. Birchak was booked to fight Jesse Brock at MFC 41 in October.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) If you loved this card before, you'll love it even more now without the flyweight title fight.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) This card might actually be as bad as the 176 card they cancelled, due largely to the fact that it's all the same damn fights.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) Curious to see how the UFC tries to sell a Baszler/Correira co-main.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) This event is awful on card...which means it will be exciting.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) Unranked lightweights Tony Ferguson and Danny Castillo will be featured as the co-main event. Wonder if they will suddenly make an appearance on the UFC's rankings page?
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) Odoms/Magomedov promoted to main card Soto/Birchak to be on FP
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) Magomedov/Odoms cancelled, Medieros/Edwards promoted to main card
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Soto (Aug/30) Barao is out. Reportedly feinted while weight cutting. Joe Soto gets the title shot (pretty much out of nowhere). Henry Cejudo is also out.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barão II (Aug/30) Reports that ticket sales have been weak. Oh, really? This card is a trainwreck.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Soto (Aug/30) MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET) Champ T.J. Dillashaw (135) vs. Joe Soto (135) – for bantamweight title Danny Castillo (156) vs. Tony Ferguson (155.5) Shayna Baszler (135) vs. Bethe Correia (135.5) Carlos Diego Ferreira (155.5) vs. Ramsey Nijem (156.25)* Damon Jackson (155) vs. Yancy Medeiros (156.5)** PRELIMINARY CARD (FOX Sports 1, 8 p.m. ET) Derek Brunson (186) vs. Lorenz Larkin (186) Anthony Hamilton (255) vs. Ruan Potts (248) Cain Carrizosa (155.5) vs. Chris Wade (155.5) * Nijem was given two hours to cut to the lightweight max of 156 pounds. ** Medeiros was given two hours to cut to the lightweight max of 156 pounds.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Soto (Aug/30) He had how many months to prepare for this fight...and he screws up on his weight? The expression "dick tucking" springs to mind. Otherwise, he and his trainers were grossly unprofessional.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Soto (Aug/30) Same fight camp that had a weight cutting related fatality this year, IIRC.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Soto (Aug/30) This card might be the biggest train wreck in UFC history. I can't believe how bad it was hit. Time for Barao to move up a class.
Re: UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Soto (Aug/30) Wow this honestly isn't even good enough for a Fight Night... Who the flying fuck is Joe Soto?
