Cash-Hole I fear is going to let us down, and the Team moreso. I'd love to see him pull a unseen move of a rabbit out of his hat.... But, I think he just lowered the sails and mast, or never had it up, for a premier player or 2 or 3.... I'm beginning to think Cashman if he ever had "it", is losing "it', or lost it.... ("it" - equals his ability to seal a deal with big marquee performing players, have we seen the last of those days?????)
Typical Cashman twiddling his thumbs and then we hear the same sob story about how he had irons in the fire but nothing made sense. Please prove me wrong.
To True....I think Brian is losing his touch, if he ever had a touch.....but yeah it's getting frustrating with Cashman, each year seems he loses more and more, talent, and ability to land a marquee deal. Tanaka IMO wasn't about Cashman, it was about who threw the most money at Masahiro, Brian's trademark, Blank Check-Book Cash-less man, credit cards only, no cash tendered....! That's becoming Brian.... Damn it...Beane is making MLB GM's look like childish fools, tho' I'd of never traded Cespedes, then would paid him to, a new novelty in Oakland, pay those MVP's, to retain them... But-like you said and I feel the same: "please prove me wrong" I want to believe, but its getting harder by the year(s)....
If we don't have the assets to make a big move, which we don't, then its just wishful thinking. however Cashman has to be responsible for the current condition and make up of the roster. It's time for fresh blood.
MLB TV was just talking about Danks. I did not know Miami was talking to Danks also. "They could pull Danks off the mound, but its not likely the Sox are letting Danks go; not sure what this does to the Miami deal for Danks"... quote...!
