Congrats, let us know how it works and how it compares to a .45. I've also never shot a gen 4, I hear mixed, but it think the nay sayers are just the same people that always complain about something new. Dow the road, I'd like to either get a glock 19 or an FNX 9.

Thank man, and I have nothing but great things to say about Gen4 Glocks. The new dual recoil springs reduce felt recoil by about 20% in my estimation and there are some other little handy features in the Gen4's as well, like reversable mag releases as well the mag release being larger, better grip patterns, 3 mags with every gun unlike two with previous gens, changeable backstraps etc. Never had a problem with them. And there is no question that a 10mm is more powerful than a .45. .45's are great but the 10mm is similar if not better than the performance of a .357 magnum. This gun can take down bears which is why many outdoorsmen keep one on their sides. It's also a good hunting gun as well. Home defense is also a no brainer. As you can see on my Double Tap ammo box, this gun sends em down range at nearly 1,500 FPS and some rounds get closer to 1,600 FPS. Insane velocity for a handgun with great energy on the target. Most powerful Glock made.

Only downside is 10mm ammo is expensive!

Nice, what AR-15 are you getting. The S&W Magpul or do you already have that and getting a different one? I have a few more payments to make on mine and then I'll be a happy owner of an AR-15 :D

I didn't realize just what the ballistics were till I just read up a bit on the 10mm. The first time I was ever going to get a gun was when I lived in Alaska and a 400lb Black Bear stopped us on a hike, 15feet away and in the middle of our path. I had nothing to protect us if the bear attacked, and my only noisemaker was a harmonica on which I played a simple blues riff to scare the bear away. We were lucky and the bear left us alone, but after that I decided I needed protection for hikes if I was going to stay in Alaska. A friend was going to sell me his extra ruger .44 magnum before I all the sudden changed my mind and left AK to go back to school. Years later now and I still think it would be nice to have a good bit of hiking protection. For me, this gun would be several away from now, but I'll add the 10mm to the guns I'll look at when the time comes. Thanks for filling us in. By the way, how much is the ammo?

Around $30 for a box of 50 JHP's. Though I've seen some for cheaper than that. 10mm FMJ's are less expensive but still expensive.

I think my current aR-15 doesn't have a brand. It was built for me.

Here is my inventory so far. I'm going to get the PTR-91 and New AR-15 today and will post pictures. I'm waiting for the mp5 to ship, so that's another 11 days away.

Awesome! That looks like a really nice AR-15 actually. And I would like to get a 12-Gauge someday too. You're gonna have a killer collection soon (not literally though I hope, lol jk)

I think my favorite gun to shoot will be the mp5-sd. Low recoil and sweet vibes!

Yeah the MP5 is a smooth shooter even in full auto 9mm and the top and most widely used submachine gun by militaries and agencies worldwide. Again, HK :ghoti:
