145-lbs. women have another place to fight now that the new Scott Coker-led Bellator FC have reestablished their featherweight division. The first fight will take place later this year between veterans Marloes Coenen and Julia Budd. The "Gina Carano" division was deemed too heavy for the UFC. Carano fought at 150-lbs. in Strikeforce and at 141-lbs. in EliteXC. Bellator have reportedly been negotiating with Carano but so have the UFC. No word yet on whether Bellator will try and sign Invicta Featherweight Champion Cristiane 'Cyborg' Santos, the last person Coenen fought.
