Repped, that is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I'd say the ducks would get one but they just redid that shiz.
This is exactly what I was talking about last year when the Blazers were doing their court design contest thing. Why go with a new paint scheme when there is so much out there.
Pros: never have to paint court again Cons: testing new design, might fail horribly and waste money. It would require some long hard thought from a business stand point, that's for sure.
Oh man if you did it right you could show away games on it and if you sat in the right spot it would look live!
Imagine a day when the players are recorded with multiple 3d cameras. With improved 3d playback you really could turn away games into home games, would be awesome!
That looks sick. They have some sidewalks in downtown Indy that are sorta like that. And I love biking there. In addition to this, I like JE Skeets' idea from a few years back with shoes lighting up if guys wearing them make three shots in a row (shoutout to NBA Jam). Have the lights connected to a pbp box score and do it all over the network. The technology is there already.
It SOUNDS cool in theory, but that idea would get so gimmicky... I can already follow a guy who hits 3 shots in a row... it's like the glowing puck in hockey... in the end, it's so unnecessary.
I think there's practical purpose, too: Jamal Crawford could have benefitted from a giant arrow pointing to the spot where Nic Batum was standing alone, wide open at the three point line...
