They aren't THAT bad. Irving has the ability to be a good defender, LeBron is a a very good defender, Varejao when healthy is good. Their bench will be pretty strong potentially with Dellavedova, Mike Miller, SHawn Marion, Tristan Thompson and Brendan Haywood.

You can talk about no defense all you want, it's possible this could end up being the most successful team in nba history. They could also fall flat.

I predict Cleveland will either be very good, very bad, or somewhere in between.

    Book it!!!

I think the Cavs are champs this year or next. And the year after next. Probably the year after.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
if the Spurs finally decline and Kevin Durant leaves Oklahoma City next year, I could see Cleveland run off a few titles. But right now, I think the Spurs and Thunder are better than Cleveland. Cleveland might be a bit better on offense than the Thunder, but the Thunder's advantage on defense is much larger. The Spurs will have a gigantic edge on defense and they always put together a successful offense with their schemes.

As things stand, I think Cleveland is easily the class of the East, but would need a lot of breaks to go their way to win the championship.

Welcome aboard. I think it's a good prediction, there is definitely a very high probability that they play basketball.

Too bad they have a know-nothing, ROOKIE COACH.

The Cavs bet the bank on 3 guys, have an injury prone center, will be cash strapped for the next half a decade and must win now. They'll be in the finals in the east probably but I don't put them over Chicago yet. They haven't played together like the Bulls and Spurs or Heat. Depth is going to be a problem for them and they better have healthy superstars because they'll play big minutes. There's a question how good they'll be defensively. Love and Irving have zero post season experience.

They did but were much better defensively. They also played in a system together for a stretch. This new Cavs squad is green with a new coach. I just don't think it's happening overnight for them
