I see the possibility of the IRS creating a new rule blessed by the chief executives advisors. Our modern day due process.
Yep, nothing can ever get done with the current cabal. Obama used the veto the least of any President. Of course the reason why is anything passed by the house that doesn't fit Obama's agenda, will not even be taken up by Harry Reid's Senate. http://www.senate.gov/reference/Legislation/Vetoes/vetoCounts.htm I expect the rules to change in January. I doubt he will even be able to sustain a veto.
No, I understand the implications on the sale and subsequent move, I was replying to your question QT "Where's the libertarian/republican dance of triumphant "I told you so!" I find comfort within?" Maybe I should have been more plain and said Why bother..
I'm sorry, I was feeling snarky. But I am genuinely surprised nobody posted anything about it. I guess we're all no longer surprised.
I too am curious how January will look politically. I think you might be right about the senate swinging right, but I don't think it will get beyond the veto thresh hold.
No, I don't expect to get veto proof but it will get more difficult for democrats to stay the course when it comes to a veto override. It will only take a few to fold and I think they will.
You call it fold, I call it compromise to get something done. It's funny how compromise became a dirty word.
Ok. I guess I don't really know why it takes a Compromse to fix a tax system that has the US with the highest Corporate taxes in the World and the only Nation to tax profits made in other countries. But, put lipstick on that Pig and call it beautiful if it fixes it.
Hmm dont you remember? The Dems changed the rules so that a filibuster is almost impossible..they are going to scream bloody murder when the shoe is on the other foot
