New article from Blazers Edge. http://www.blazersedge.com/2014/8/2...l-blazers-franchise-record-wins-clyde-drexler I don't agree with that at all.
Are they letting the unpaid interns write articles in the dog days of summer again? That is brutally bad. 1. Gut 3 out of the 5 starters. 2. Overpay for Omer Asik. 3. ???? 4. 82-0. I'm surprised he didn't put in the possibility of signing Ramon Sessions in there as well. Maybe Derek Favors.
Terrible idea. Lopez has embraced Portland, and Portland has embraced Lopez. High effort player, high character guy, good locker room presence. He's a Blazer, through and through.
NO. WE WANT THE WHINING OVERPAID BITCH ASS CENTER WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT COMING OFF THE BENCH TO BACK UP DWIGHT HOWARD
Horrible article. It assumes we can draft a player better then Batum, good luck with that without a high lottery pick then wed have to wait for him to develop, and then we break the bank for a center that is overrated. Asik is great at an 8m price tag but lack of any offense and stone hands makes a 15m price tag vomit inducing.
Do you want to start a "Blazersedge is full of morons" thread? Because this is how you start a "Blazersedge is full of morons" thread.
This belongs on Bleacher Report. Also, he twice (at least, I only skimmed the post) uses "dominate" instead of "dominant." I have a hard time taking a piece of sports writing seriously when the author is enthusing over having a "dominate player." Also, Asik is not "dominate."
I think Lopez is a great fit in Ptd. But it could be argued that Asik is a better defender, rebounder and more versatile being able to play the 4 and the 5. Lopez is a gamer who does all the dirty work and his contribution on the court really shows over an 82 game season. But Lopez didn't seem to have as big of an impact in the playoffs, kind of disappeared . . . maybe that is because he was going up against Howard and then the San Antonio Spurs. Big year for Lopez, it's a contract year and he has laid the ground work for a huge contract next summer. I think we see an even more motivated Lopez this year.
Lopez allows LMA to do his thing. Part of the credit for LMA's amazing playoff series against the Rockets goes to the dirty work that Lopez did.
Terrance Jones guarding Aldridge those first 2 games helped a little too. But yea, Lopez does the dirty work so LA can concentrate on doing his thing.
