A sad story but a good read, http://www.nydailynews.com/archives...-tony-horton-remains-mystery-article-1.755256
I do remember Tony Horton, and I saw the game when Steve Hamilton struck him out with the folly floater. He crawled the last few feet back to his dugout after the strikeout. A breath of fresh air from the days when there were characters, alot of nick-names and the players weren't all big-shot multi-millionaires. I had heard a bit later on, that he had some kind of "nervous problem" and couldn't cope. Bless his heart, he still played along with Hamilton's gag and helped create a lighthearted moment in baseball time that I, and thousands of other people who were watching will always remember. I still occasionally mention that incident in conversation with baseball fan/friends. Glad he landed on his feet. God bless Tony Horton
