for not giving Cano the 10 year contract. I'm sure they took the back half of contracts belonging to A-Rod, CC & Teixeira into consideration & seeing all the money they are literally stuck with for the next 2-3 years with no kind of production to show for it.

I do blame them for re-upping the contracts of A-Rod & CC after they opted out. If they had not done that (I believe) we'd be pretty much done with both of them.

Just a shame that all that money over the next 2-3 years has to be wasted on these bums.

Hopefully the lesson has been learned. No more ten year contracts and not more opt out clauses.

Hopefully all the GMs in baseball have learned from the idiot Yankees regarding opt-out clauses. And keep in mind they're not done. Tanaka still has one.

Do you really think the Mariners are happy with the lack of power #s that Cano has supplied for $24M dollars.

Average wise he's pretty much on the same pace as he was with the Yankees but that's it.

    Last 5 years with the Yankees Cano's averages were 28 HRs, 103 RBI & a 314 average.

This year with the Mariners his #s are a lowly 12 HRs, 71 RBI & 322 average. You CANNOT tell me that Seattle wasn't expecting more.

...they didn't let him go, Cano left for the money, period.

...and according to you, all "stud" players are head cases?...put down the crack pipe.

rick, its my understanding that HR's don't come easy in seatlle, not that every game is played there, but its no yankee stadium... an last time i looked seatlle is stll in it so i'm sure they don't really care much about it,...

and as far as puttin the crack pipe down 59, after you had it for so long, i thought i would hold on to it for awhile, and yes name 1 stud player in any sport who wasn't a head case of some sort, now don't hurt yourself thinkin about it, just in case i got 911 on hold

I'm not just talking about home runs, his RBI are way down, SLG% is down, OPS is down & TBs are way down. Also with the Yankees he averaged 75-80 XBH a season, this year he has 44. Yeah, I'm sure Seattle is real happy.

...so you're claiming that if the Yanx had offered him 10 years/$240 Mil, he still would have left?

...again, you're making this way too easy..."stud players" are "head cases"...Cano left because he "disliked Girardi"...lmao.

it was quoted in papers that girardi got on cano for not hustlin to first base, now i agree that no player should dog it, but knowing girardi he probably singled out cano at the wrong time. probably after hittin a dinger

...wow, just wow...Cano has hit more HRs at Safeco this year than he has on the road.

...and both Seager and Zunino have more HRs than Cano...yeah, Safeco is the problem.

...so lemme get this straight, you blindly bash Girardi on a daily basis for not being tougher with his players...but you also blame Girardi for taking that exact position with Cano?

...do you ever stop to think before running your mouth?
