I'm actually really happy with this. The Niners were a terrible fit for James. He's not at all the style of RB that Harbaugh likes, and he was buried behind Gore and Kendall Hunter for most of his time there.

Maybe LaMike can go to the Eagles and actually play for a coach that knows how to use him.

according to reports he asked for his release. Doesn't matter where he plays if he can't stay healthy but I hear ( :hello: Targus) theres an opening in Baltimore. Think John might like an opportunity to get another one over on Jim?

I don't really watch the Ravens much. Would he fit the system there?

if he's healthy, James would fit in most anywhere. It would help if he could pack on another 10-15 though

I was happy to see the 49ers take James, and wish he'd have gotten more playing time. But I think the issue with him is that he really needs big holes to get yardage. A back like Gore or Hyde can get some tough power yards on their own, but James will just go down. He and Barner are very similar backs, and Barner was just got with no interest from other teams. There really aren't meany pure speed backs in the NFL. You've got Chris Johnson, but he had ultra-elite speed.

Well,,,,, I think that James would be fine with a lot of teams as a scat back. It was trivial to me why the 49'ers took James as he's not a between the tackles kind of guy. He needs space and let his vision and wheels do the rest. I think people underestimate Jame's awesome vision in making people miss.

I think Philly should add him to their practice squad so he can learn from Sproles. Right now Sproles and McCoy are working well together, and if Sproles got hurt they would have someone waiting in the wings.

Sproles career is what James should shoot for.

I would like if the Seahawks could pick him up. We don't really have a back like him.

Is his elbow injury healed up? Strange how no team is interested.
