Looks like the teams are pretty even.

Carla "Cookie Monster" Esparza (Torrance, CA) is the favourite. She was the Invicta FC champion.

The other good prospects are Joanne "JoJo" Calderwood (Glasgow, Scotland) who is 8-0 and is an excellent striker, Tecia "Tiny Tornado" Torres (Ft Lauderdale, FL) also undefeated at 4-0 training with American Top Team, and "Thug" Rose Namajunas (Milwaukee, WI) who is Pat Barry's partner and had the submission of the year last year against Kathina Catron (flying armbar).

Four of the top-ten ranked strawweights are in the competition which is pretty decent. Two more (Claudia Gadelha and Joanna Jedrzejczyk) are signed and already have UFC victories.

Side note, JEDRZEJCZYK is like a key code for a new video game, holy shit.

Tecia Torres fought Randa Markos on the first episode. Markos won by decision. Torres was supposedly less than 100% but when isn't a fighter?

Joanne Calderwood defeated Emily Kagan on the second episode.

JoJo has a lot going for her.

Jessica Penne defeated Lisa Ellis on the third episode. Team Pettis is running the table and Esparza #1 has yet to face Hill #16.

Re: The Ultimate Fighter 20: A Champion Will Be Crowned (Wednesdays on FS1)

"It's gonna be a war" says Hill.

Tantamount to saying "I don't expect to win but I will try not to lose badly."

Don't bet on fighters who say "it's gonna be a war" before they fight.

I'm actually watching TUF for the first time in several years.
enjoying it so far. Mendes and Pettis have been kinda dull personality wise, but I like how Pettis has been receptive to feedback.
I think the rankings angle is interesting and I think for the most part it will show how unpredictable fighting is with a lot of 'upsets' in a new division.

dangit, I haven't watched the ep. yet.

I'm hoping Rose N. goes far. Been a fan of her since seeing her in some of the zany Pat Barry vid's he's made. Can't help but love HD's personality and Rose's as well.

    Ha, sorry, figured you had.

Rose is a good fighter and she seems like a cool person, too. High hopes for her.

Calderwood looks really good in both her fight and her training. Thinking she should make the Finals for sure. As usual though Euro's gotta defend the takedown vs North American wrestlers.

Every contestant, save for Justine Kish (injured), will get to fight on the Finale. It's like TUF 1 all over again.

Aisling Daly def. Angela Magana via TKO (strikes) – Round 3

Team Pettis won again last night. Tecia Torres has been moved to Team Pettis to replace an injured Justine Kish. At least this way one of Team Melendez's original fighters will advance to the next round.

Rose Namajunas beat Alex Chambers. Team Melendez finally has a fighter through to the next round. Dunno when Namajunas/Calderwood will take place but that will be a fight worth seeing.

In related news, Invicta FC had a woeful event last weekend, due in large part to being gutted by the UFC.
