A new species of Titanosaur was unearthed by paleontologists from the Ohio University. The Los Angeles Times reports that the species, known as Rukwatitan bisepultus was as heavy as several elephants together. It was 6 feet and 6 inches or two meters long and had tall forelegs. The pair of leg bones, which was completely intact, is being considered the most important find. The legs help determine the length and height of these species. The fossil which the paleontologists found has vertebrae, legs, pelvic bones and ribs. It was inside the wall of a cliff in southwest Tanzania’s Rukwa Rift Basin, which explains the name of the species. CT scans conducted by the researchers and comparisons with other species of dinosaurs suggest that these dinosaurs had unique features and could be new species.
