The Jets because #1 they had a 21-3 lead and #2 a sideline timeout caused them a tying score.

Still, if you have screaming of timeout from the sideline that's a team issue not a ref issue. Can't blame the refs on that one. Also, after 21-3 the Jets went to sleep. Both teams are flawed and it's going to be a tough football season in New York.

the ref has to distinguish where the call is coming from.... anybody can scream out time out..... and for the record thats not why they lost... they choked

I understand but the OC has to know better. You're not dealing with some player on the sideline or some obscure coach. But yes they did indeed choke. It all changed when Smith tossed that INT towards the end of the first half. The Packers scored before the half the momentum never went the other way after that.

Yeah the Jets simply let that game get away from them, but the damn time out was a killer.

The Giants, well we can't blame this one on Eli. The receivers just can't catch & the defense totally sucked.

Cruz screamed for the ball and then pulled that crap today. That drop killed them.

Same old Jets - they just refuse to have a consistent down field passing game.
Whoever called that run play on 3rd and 5 with 5 minutes to go and counting in Green Bay territory, should have his clip board smacked on his head!
The dumb-asses were running the clock out on THEMSELVES losing by a touchdown.
Throw the freekin ball forward, if it gets picked off, the sooner the better. At least they would still have a chance to stop Green Bay and get the ball back with enough time for a last 2 minute possible game tying drive.

This may sound weird to some...but I believe Geno Smith at this point throws a better long ball than intermediate pass routes. The Jets must allow him or call for more deep passes....they would be better served....if the protection breaks down, let him run....he's a capable strong runner for a QB. This is how they can get the most out of Geno Smith and help the team.

Too many short sideway throws...too many running plays at the wrong time as the game is in the crucial minutes...poor play selections.

Rex Ryan better start kicking some asses on offense and stop trying to be Buddy Ryan Jr.
And what the heck is that stupid little paper in his hand? A grocery list?

Pay some attention to the OFFENSE once in a while. All you have to do is look at McCarthy, the GB coach, and you can see which coach is more sophisticated and competent. Big play sheet in his hands with the big headphones on. This guy is tuned in to the WHOLE TEAM.

The Jets horrible secondary got exposed as well. Rodgers was having his way with them way too easily.

Mr "defense" Ryan.....did you notice the Jets basically called off their blitzes on Rogers in the latter 3rd and 4th quarters? They had him on the defensive and ON THE RUN in the first half with their blitz packages.
He's going to pick them apart anyway...so why not just go for it and blitz him more often as he was in the process of putting up points almost at will.

Both New York teams in my opinion will be installing new coaches next season and rightly so. The Jets could end up losing the next five games and the Giants will soon approach a six game stretch that will likely put the season way very early.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least. The Jets have been in dire need of a coach who isn't afraid to attack the defenses with the downfield pass as well as having a good- "good enough" defense.

This is 2014....the league is BEGGING the teams to throw downfield more often.
Of course you need to be able to run the ball--> to wear down the defensive line, to keep the opponent's pass rush honest and linebackers honest, and to work the clock when the SCOREBOARD suits you.

Sure, there will be days when your O-Line is manhandling the defensive line and you can run the ball more easily....but you absolutely must have a system which can attack the defenses with the downfield pass especially when your team is behind and you're struggling to run the ball.
The silly Jets/Ryan are way behind the curve.

This is how "modern football" is played. lol

the part of game where i feel was the turning point... go back to 2nd Q. the jets had the packers out of it , they were totally demoralized, there was a penalty called on a first down play, instead of makin it 1st and 15, rex declines the penalty.. from that point on the packers took complete control of game...

Another big part was the interception towards the end of the second quarter that lead to a Packers TD. The Jets were in FG range to end the half but instead lost the ball and gave up a TD late. The Packers even gave the Jets a brake with what I thought was a dumb onsides kick.

the packer fans booing the heck out of the coach for makin decision to go for 3 to make it 21-6..... kicker makes it and the boos pour down even more..... then 1 score after another in a very short time.... scored in 13 seconds at 1 point..... like they say same ole jets.... this team is talented no doubt, but they got to get that dark cloud that hangs over them outta here... like the saux did!

Smith's only INT was a very big turning point.....the Jets' receiver was open near the goal line but just as Smith was releasing the ball he got undercut and sent up a floater which was picked off...just one of those things...give credit to the Packer pass rush.

He also missed the pass to a wide open Decker which very likely goes for six.

They need a better coach. Rex is a coordinator who plays the part of head coach.
