The Detroit Lions will likely be sending their second cornerback in as many weeks to injured reserve.

Lions coach Jim Caldwell said Monday he does not anticipate rookie Nevin Lawson to return this season after he suffered dislocated toes in his left foot during the Lions' 24-7 loss to Carolina on Sunday. Lawson was immediately taken to Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, following the injury and was in surgery before the Lions game concluded Sunday.
